A class from Starke School was visited by Farmyard Discoveries, which is a trailer filled with small farm animals, grains, toy farm machinery, and other information to teach young children about agriculture.

Young Leaders relax at the WIU Agriculture Scholarship Fundraiser at Mooberry's Driving Range on July 19, 2015.  Garrett Mooberry passed away in 2011 and his family has the Fundraiser every year. The money goes into a scholarship fund for a student(s) who are attending WIU and are majoring in Agriculture.

The Prime Timers toured Mackinaw Winery on July 7, 2015.

The Prime Timers toured the 182nd Airlift Wing Base - Illinois Air National Guard in Bartonville, IL on June 11, 2015.   They toured the Fire Department, saw  Aircrew Flight Equipment and walked on a cargo plane.

FarmWeek came to the Tazewell County Farm Bureau on May 12, 2015 to take pictures of the Prime Timers tying Yellow Ribbons and of Rick Gebhardt distributing the ribbons throughout Pekin in remembrance of our troops.  This has become an annual event for the Prime Timers to help tie ribbons for Rick to hang around Pekin.   

June 5, 2015

The Prime Timers took a bus trip to I & M Canal in LaSalle, IL.    They rode the Canal Boat, toured the Hegler Carus Mansion and toured the Weber House and Gardens in Streator, IL.  The Canal Boat is pulled along the canal by a mule walking alongside on the bank.  Before the Prime Timers got on the boat, they got to feed Moe, the mule who was going to pull our boat.  Shown above is Karan feeding Moe while Jack and other Prime Timers watch.

April 13, 2015

On April 8, 2015, thirty-five Prime Timers met at the Farm Bureau auditorium for the program "Biblical Plants and Herbs from the Bible" by Ella Maxwell.  She told about how there were 125 plants mentioned in the Bible and how some of the plants were used.  Ella brought a couple of plants to give away as door prizes.  Shown here she is giving one to Sandy and Irv Norberg.

The Tazewell County Farm Bureau had their Leader Get Acquainted Banquet at Sazani's Restaurant on Friday, March 27th.   Forty-six board members, young leaders, staff and spouses attended the banquet.  After the buffet, the attendees played right, left, center as shown.
